Case Study
Late one Friday evening recently, a major employer rang us because a former employee had failed to return telephone calls or respond to letters asking for him to agree arrangements to recover his company car. He had left the company a month previously but had just used his company fuel credit card without authority and the employer was now getting anxious.
We were given his current and previous home address and, after having failed to obtain a response from his cell phone, we attended his current address late that night. There was no sign of the vehicle either on the premises or in the surrounding streets.
We then went to his previous address and found the car parked up. It had some damage to the bodywork and we didn't want to disturb the neighbours so we kept observation on the vehicle until the early hours when a recovery truck attended (as the company did not have a spare key) and we lifted it onto a low loader.
The noise brought out the employee in an aggressive mood but we calmed him down, recovered the key and his fuel card. The vehicle was delivered to a car repair shop for assessment of the damage.
Job done within 12 hours - one very satisfied client!
